DESCRIPTION:
This CLE program will explore the role of international human rights law standards and strategies in efforts to advance equality and social justice within the United States. Speakers will discuss how U.S. lawyers are leveraging international human rights law in efforts to reform a number of domestic laws and policies—such as solitary confinement, immigrants’ rights, policing issues, national security, and access to health care—as well as the impact of this work on policymakers.
